How can I resolve the "Licence not granted or missing" error when starting SOLIDWORKS?
Problem :
When you launch SOLIDWORKS, the error message "Licence not granted or missing" appears and you cannot continue.
Causes and resolutions:
1. Crash
Following a crash, SOLIDWORKS closes abruptly and may corrupt the link between the licence and 3DEXPERIENCE. This explains why the message appears when the software is reopened.
Resolution:
a. Restart the computer
b. If this does not solve the problem, close SOLIDWORKS in the Task Manager.
Crashes are not usually trivial, especially if they occur regularly. Use this article to help you optimise your performance!
2. Connecting to another computer
When you connect to one machine and then disconnect to work on another, the error message may appear. This is due to a latency between the connection from one workstation to another.
Resolution:
Wait 15 to 30 minutes, then reopen SOLIDWORKS.
3. Licence renewal
If your licence renewal has not been properly anticipated, this message will appear.
Resolution:
Read this article and ask your administrator (if not you) to update the licence.
