This example guides you through creating and performing an external fluid flow simulation on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
You will learn how to:
- Use the Assistant to create a simulation that models the mechanical forces and dynamics of steady-state fluid flow.
- Define a fluid region external to your model, using symmetry to reduce simulation time.
- Assign a material to the fluid section, and specify the physics of the flow.
- Apply boundary conditions.
- Create a mesh of the fluid region.
- Request data output for pertinent variables.
- Check and run a simulation.
- Create sensors to display different types of results data.
- Automatically calculate quantities using formulas (that is, Knowledgeware parameters).
- Generate plots to view the streamline contours of the fluid flow.
